5 steps to successful silhouettes

1. Keep it simple
    Simple subjects make better silhouettes. look for uncluttered backgrounds and clear shapes;
    buildings, pylons, people, birds, anything with an easily recognisable outline.

2. Avoid merges
    watch out for silhouettes merging with each other or with elements in the background. moving
    the camera a few centimeters can often separate the elements of the shot well.

3. Create impact
    A telephoto lens will make the sun look huge in direct comparison to a foreground silhouette,
    while a wide angles lens has the apposite effect. use this difference to add variety and impact.

4. Shoot in RAW
    you'll be able to refine the exposure, white balance and colour later without losing quality if
    you shoot in your camera's RAW mode.

5. Work quickly
     you'll need to work fast in terms of taking a meter reading and framing your shot, as dusk/
     dawn skies quickly change in colour and brightness. Be familiar with your camera controls.

Filter > Liquify and set the brush size to 50
Start at the center and pullout making curves or any shapes
Control J to duplicate the layer
On the bottom layer go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur
Blur method : Zoom
Quality : Best
On the duplicate layer go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur
Blur method : Spin
Quality : Best
On duplicate layer go to blending options > overlay
Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap and set it to these settings
Highlight strength : 13
Detail : 12
Smoothness : 7
Merge layers
